Horse Boxes are large trailers or vans that are used to transport horses. Th4y come in many designs and sizes that range from being as small to being able to transport just a single or maybe two horses to large ones which can transport up to seven or eight horses.
Different horse boxes are made and styled for different purposes for example a goose neck style horse box can carry at least about seven to eight horses and is generally used for long distances as it also has provision made for people who move along with the horses to stay inside the giving quarters that are part of the trailer. This generally requires to be hauled by a large truck.
On the other hand a European style horse box is relatively small and is used for small distances and local transport, it can carry up to two horses and can be pulled over by a small car as well.
The concept of horse boxes originated from horse ambulances that were earlier used to transport sick and injured horses to the hospital, today these horse ambulances have made way for horse boxes which are put to commercial use as well
